Present at the ceremony were Semambu assemblyman Datuk Pang Tsu Ming, Indera Mahkota MIC division chief V. Mohan and temple president S. Muniandy.
Pang joined in the prayers and was garlanded before receiving blessings from the temple’s priest.
He urged the Indian community to stand united and not be taken in by promises of the Opposition.

“They are always raising unhealthy and sensitive issues.
“In a multi-racial country, we must respect each other’s religions and live in peace,” he said.
Earlier, he presented a cheque for RM10,000 for the acquisition of land for the temple, which the owner Tiong Hin Realities agreed to sell at RM600,000.
Pang also donated RM3,000 for the celebrations.
Meanwhile, Muniandy urged devotees and well-wishers to donate towards the purchase of the land.
He expressed gratitude to Pang and the state for being concerned about the welfare of the Indian community.
